We normally treat children in the presence of their parents. We only ask that parents allow the primary communication to be between us and the child.
Every child is different. Therefore, all recommendations and treatment should be tailored to the individual patient.
We follow guidelines set up by the American and Canadian Dental Associations. These guidelines call for x-ray frequency recommendations based on the risk that child has to develop dental cavities.
We acknowledge that there may be financial considerations regarding treatment. However, we never base our recommendations on "what insurance covers." To put another way, a child with inferior dental insurance does not deserve inferior care.
We strive to help parents and children understand what causes cavities and how to lower their risk. We would much prefer patients to stay cavity-free throughout
